I have the Model 5 also, just the glass version. Still, with 3 fans on the bottom bellow the gpu, the airflow is Perfect!
Them moving the PSU to the location of the DVD was genius!
cooler master vertical mount would help move that gpu out more and make it look a little more filled in. dont get me wrong, looks great. was screaming no when you pulled that vertical mount out lol
It's interesting to see how, with the RAM crisis, builders and reviewers were so critical of pre-builts especially, and other builds which used a single channel, single RAM module rather than dual channel. But now, I see people actually advocating for doing that or doing it in budget builds even though the performance loss is notable and significant.
This is a beefy build! I like how dense it feels. I agree with @SilenceEngaged, I do hipe that Hurley sponsors you for all the gear that you wear in your videos!
Great video. I got the Geometric Model 5 partly based on your last Geometric Model 5 build. I also bought Cablemod custom cables to deal with the tight back space I saw you deal with and they worked great. I love my PC. Thanks for these videos!
I recently upgraded from a 265k to a 270k and I can tell you the 265k is very solid. It won't get you the max FPS but at $300 it is still very good and is a beast for productivity.
I'm currently building a 9850x3d system with my old GPU, 3080; it's still good enough for the games I play. But damn, the prices on these RAMs are just crazy, the cheapest worst RAM is around €450, and the one you linked goes for €1400, it's crazy, man. But hey, I would rather have a PC with cheap RAM and bad timings than not have one at all. DDR4 is almost as expensive as DDR5, especially on the second-hand used market, and they are asking the same price as the stores lmao.
i'm on the fence upgrading my 5070ti to 5080, planning to use the 5070ti for my second PC using 12700f
